Really comfortable base for one night. Different food for breakfast at the dining room. The location particularly good in the mountain. And just off other attractions, the mountains and woods with beautiful views and bus stop.

Loved our reasonably large and fashionable rooms.
Everything was simply perfectly fine. Had perfectly pleasant stay during our three week Japan visit, the staff were extremely helpful, location was tranquil in the woods far from everything. Booked a room with ac.

Cozy little spot with neat rooms featuring traditional tatami mats. the location is just stunning, and you can easily stroll to all the nearby attractions 🌟. It's only a short 15-minute walk to Kijiya Yamato from here.

The onsen was amazing! It had stunning views of the surrounding mountains and was a great place to relax and unwind. The staff were also very hospitable and provided a free shuttle service to the train station, which was really convenient. Plus, the Japanese beds were super comfortable and made for a good night's sleep.
The rooms had some stains on the walls, which was a bit off-putting. And the shuttle times were not very convenient, so we had to plan our day around them.

The location was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by towering mountains and lush greenery. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with a stunning outdoor onsen that boasted incredible mountain views. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, even though they didn't speak much English. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and I felt extremely comfortable throughout my stay. The free shuttle service provided by the hotel was a great convenience, making it easy to explore the nearby town of Tsumago and other attractions in the area.
There was nothing I didn't like.

I had a wonderful stay at Tokonamiso for three nights. The hotel provided a convenient shuttle service to and from the nearby town of Tsumago, making it easy to explore the area. The onsen, located at the sister hotel just a minute's walk away, was fantastic with its open-air baths nestled under the branches of conifers. The traditional ryokan room was spacious and comfortable, allowing for a truly authentic experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, even going the extra mile to ensure we caught our train on time. the beautiful views, great service, and relaxing atmosphere made it a paradise-like place to stay.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed the peaceful forest, free shuttle service, and available facilities. The beautiful hot spring and karaoke were certainly a highlight. No need to leave the property, no other options anyway!
Who needs wifi in their room anyway? It's much more fun to socialize in the communal areas.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
